How to replace the front lower control arm bushing on Chevrolet Colorado?

To replace the front bushing of the lower Control Arm, first unscrew the front drive axle in case it has been equipped. Then, take out the lower Control Arm. Before you remove the bushing, take its distance from the bushing flange to the bracket and note it down because this will decide the installation depth for a new bushing. Use j 41805 ball joint remover/ installer (J 41805) to remove the rear bushing. For installation, again, use the j 41805 ball joint remover/installer (J 41805) to install the rear bushing, make sure it is placed at the predetermined measurement as shown earlier. Lastly, replace the lower Control Arm and the front drive axle, in case it was installed.

How to replace the upper control arm bushings on a 4WD on Chevrolet S10?

Start upper Control Arm Bushing replacement on a 4wd vehicle by removing the arm then placing it in a vise for support. You need the Control Arm Bushing service set (J 21474-01) to extract upper Control Arm bushings. For bushing replacement use the same Control Arm Bushing service set (J 21474-01) to install the new upper Control Arm bushings after their removal. After the installation finishes properly take the upper Control Arm out of the vise to reinstall it.
