How to Service and Repair a Fan Clutch on Chevrolet Colorado?

The procedures for fan replacement (LH8) and fan replacement (LH9) should be completed before cooling fan removal to begin replacing the Fan Clutch. First remove the bolts affixing the Fan Blade to the Fan Clutch before extracting the Fan Blade from the Fan Clutch. Install the Fan Clutch with the fan by observing all fastener safety criteria to avoid vehicle harm. Following that installation proceed by torquing the four Fan Blade bolts to 27 nm (20 lb ft). Install the cooling fan through fan replacement procedures (LH8) and fan replacement (LH9).

How to replace the fan clutch on Chevrolet S10?

Start the Fan Clutch replacement process by taking away the upper Fan Shroud. Begin by installing the Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) onto the Water Pump to extract the Fan Clutch in a counterclockwise rotation. Proceed with removing the Fan Clutch assembly afterward. You must detach the mounting bolts of the Fan Blade before you can eliminate the Fan Blade from its location on the Fan Clutch. When installing the Fan Blade it needs to be fastened into the Fan Clutch by following instructions from the fastener notice in service precautions. Fits the Fan Blade mounting bolts before tightening them to 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs.). Attach the Fan Clutch assembly to the Water Pump with the Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) while securing it to 56 nm (40 ft. Lbs.). Rejoin the upper Fan Shroud as the last step.

Start the Fan Clutch replacement process by taking away the upper Fan Shroud. Begin by installing the Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) onto the Water Pump to extract the Fan Clutch in a counterclockwise rotation. Proceed with removing the Fan Clutch assembly afterward. You must detach the mounting bolts of the Fan Blade before you can eliminate the Fan Blade from its location on the Fan Clutch. When installing the Fan Blade it needs to be fastened into the Fan Clutch by following instructions from the fastener notice in service precautions. Fits the Fan Blade mounting bolts before tightening them to 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs.). Attach the Fan Clutch assembly to the Water Pump with the Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) while securing it to 56 nm (40 ft. Lbs.). Rejoin the upper Fan Shroud as the last step.
