Start replacing the Fan Clutch by removing all Fan Shroud bolts that fasten the top of radiator support and the sides of the Fan Shroud before taking out the upper Fan Shroud. You must now place the Fan Clutch remover and installer (J41240) onto the Fan Clutch nut to hold the pulley while pulling out the Fan Clutch assembly. Check the adapter and belt alongside the pulley hub and belt for any distorting or breaking or physical damage. The procedure involves unbolting the Fan Clutch before completely separating it from the Fan Blade. You should first connect the Fan Clutch to the Fan Blade before securing bolts to the Fan Clutch while tightening them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Apply the Fan Clutch remover and installer (J41240) on the pulley to set the pulley before tightening the nut to 95 nm (70 ft. Lbs.). The next step includes replacing the upper Fan Shroud followed by installing Fan Shroud bolts to the radiator support's top and tightening them to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Afterward you should apply Fan Shroud bolts to the shroud's sides which also need to be tightened to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.).
