The upper Fan Shroud must be eliminated before beginning the Fan Clutch replacement process. Install the j 41240-5a Fan Clutch wrench on the Fan Clutch nut while using the j 46406 Fan Clutch remover and installer to lock the pulley. Check the Fan Clutch assembly components for any issues such as damages and cracks and inspection of the belt and hub and adapter and pulley for distortion. Detach the cooling fan from the Fan Clutch as the next step. The installation sequence begins with Fan Clutch and cooling fan attachment before connecting Fan Clutch assembly to pulley. The j 46406 Fan Clutch remover and installer enables you to use the j 41240-5a to tighten the Fan Clutch nut to 95 n.m (70 lb ft) while securing the pulley. Reinstall the upper Fan Shroud as the last step.
