How to replace the left side catalytic converter on GMC Acadia?

Before you can replace the left side catalytic converter, take off the heat shield for the exhaust manifold and loosen the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts and the exhaust flexible pipe. After that, loosen the catalytic converter brace bolt and disconnect the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold, disposing of the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold seal . For installation, put a new exhaust manifold seal on the catalytic converter and fasten it to the exhaust manifold. Make sure you put in the catalytic converter brace bolt and tighten it to 41 N.m (30 lb ft). Put the exhaust flexible pipe back in place and fasten the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). In the end, attach the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Detach the left and the right exhaust manifold pipe nuts and then proceed with the exhaust Muffler nuts, remove the Catalytic Converter. As needed, remove the oxygen sensors. For installation, if required, install the oxygen sensors and apply the anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 or equivalent on threads and tighten them to 42 nm (31 lb ft). Mount the Catalytic Converter with the new exhaust manifold pipe seals to the exhaust manifolds, then hold the right and left exhaust manifold pipe nuts and tighten them to 50 nm (39 lb ft). Install the exhaust Muffler nuts and tighten with 40 nm (30 lb ft). Lift the harness so that the Oxygen Sensor electrical connectors (1, 2) and the cpa retainers are connected, then clip the electrical connectors of the oxygen sensors to the hose clip and the transmission crossmember. Connect the electrical connectors of Oxygen Sensor and retainers of cpa, install the clip around the engine harness and Oxygen Sensor pigtail, and connect the electrical connector of Oxygen Sensor. If installed, attach the Oxygen Sensor connection to the floor reinforcement before sinking the vehicle.
