Replace the Exhaust Resonator by first properly raising and supporting the vehicle. Unplug the chassis wiring harness electrical connector from the right rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness electrical connector and detach the right rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness electrical connector clip from the frame. Pay attention to the rear axle wiring harness clip being a one-way d-shaped design. Use a suitable adjustable jack to position it under the rear axle while you remove the wiring harness clips from both the control arm bracket and frame of the right rear wheel speed sensor. Take out the right axle tie rod bolt together with its nut and remove the rear axle vent hose if needed and the vent hose swivel clip if present on the rear brake crossover pipe. The next operations include removing the right rear stabilizer shaft link to frame bolt and nut followed by separating the right rear stabilizer shaft link from the frame and lastly taking out the right rear shock absorber lower bolt and nut. The adjustable jack lifts the right side of the rear axle to let the Muffler be removed before eliminating the catalytic converter to Muffler clamp bolt. Apply grease to the insulators on the Muffler assembly hanger insertion points for smooth removal. Assistance is needed to remove insulators that are attached to the exhaust system hangers (1, 2, and 3) and the exhaust system hangers near the resonator. The workers should maintain flex coupler length so damage inside the system can be avoided. Take out the Muffler along with the resonator assembly. The installer should grease the insulators before mounting the exhaust system hangers (1, 2, and 3) and near the resonator with assistance. Fitting the catalytic converter to Muffler bolt requires nut tightening force at 45 n.m (33 lb ft). Use the adjustable jack to lift the rear axle into position before connecting the right rear shock absorber lower bolt and attaching its nut while tightening these components to 95 n.m (70 lb ft). Screw down the right rear stabilizer shaft link to frame after attaching it to the frame. Add the right rear stabilizer shaft link to frame bolt and follow with its nut by tightening them to 65 n.m (48 lb ft). Screw the right rear axle tie rod bolt and attach the matching nut while tightening it to 105 n.m (77 lb ft). If necessary, install the rear axle vent hose and secure its swivel clip to the rear brake crossover pipe. After installing the right rear link rod to the ball studs on sensors it is essential to check the correct placement of the rear axle wiring harness clip using the j 38185 tool. The right rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness clips require installation at the frame and control arm bracket and the electrical connector needs to be placed on the frame before connecting the chassis wiring harness electrical connector to the right rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness electrical connector . After this step, lower the vehicle down.
