How to properly service and replace the Parking Brake Shoe on Cadillac CTS?

Before installing new parking brake shoes the Wheel Bearing together with hub assembly must be removed. Screw the parking brake adjusting nut by until all park brake shoe adjustment has been removed. The Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring needs to be taken out first before pulling the shoe assembly from the actuator by grasping it and spreading it slightly. Start with the park brake shoe assembly installation which requires same-step procedure followed by Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring installation. Restore the Wheel Bearing together with hub assembly before setting the Parking Brake Shoe-to-drum clearance then proceed to lower the vehicle.
