A Wheel Bearing along with hub assembly must be removed before beginning Parking Brake Shoe replacement. Adjust the parking brake adjusting nut clockwise by a quarter-turn to remove all park brake shoe adjustment from the system. Start by extracting the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring and afterward detach the park brake shoe assembly using proper grasp and slight shoe spread before pulling it from the actuator assembly. Start by installing the park brake shoe assembly in its normal manner before continuing with the installation of the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring. Reset the Wheel Bearing along with the hub assembly before you adjust the park brake shoe clearance before lowering the entire vehicle.
