  Start replacement of the power vacuum Brake Booster by detaching the cover panel from the right side instrument panel. Hold the Steering Column steady instead of unlinking it from the connecting shaft. Unplug the brake pedal position sensor connector before taking off the Pushrod nut on the power vacuum Brake Booster and disconnecting the Pushrod from its pedal pivot. Take off the cross vehicle brace when it exists and disconnect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical link. Set the master cylinder aside by its nuts without draining the brake lines. Pull out the power vacuum Brake Booster hose assembly from the check valve except when applying force against master cylinder studs. Change the j-22805-b - Brake Booster holder by extending the mounting holes and trimming 6.36 mm (0.25 inches) from inside the edges to achieve a 80 mm (3.15 inches) space. Place the modified holder on its proper place and tighten the master cylinder nuts. Push the cowl-locking tab down followed by turning the holder and booster clockwise to free the booster from its bracket. Draw the booster forward to reach the Pushrod retaining clip and unfasten it while pressing on the foam filter. Take off the booster assembly and pull out the rod if it has dust boot access from the interior. Begin installation of the vacuum Brake Booster by passing the Pushrod through its dust boot. Press the foam filter to reach the Pushrod retaining clip then connect the Pushrod to the booster before securing the clip into place. Place the booster on the bracket and turn it with the j-22805-b holder clockwise until the locking tab grabs the bracket flange. Throw away the master cylinder nuts after pulling out the holder. Use a minimum amount of denatured alcohol lubricant when you join the check valve and hose assembly. Put the master cylinder onto the booster while replacing new nuts and securing them at 25 nm torque. Feed the electrical link to the brake fluid level sensor into place and mount back the cross vehicle brace when it was set aside during repair. Thread the Pushrod through the brake pedal hinge. Attach the brake pedal position sensor electrical connection before tightening the Pushrod nut to 9 nm (80 lb in). Reinstall the Steering Column first then calibrate the brake pedal position sensor before putting on the right side instrument panel insulator panel.

  To start vacuum Brake Booster (LHD) replacement you need to remove the left insulator panel. Remove the vacuum Brake Booster push rod retaining clip before taking out the Brake Booster Pushrod from the pedal. Take off the cross vehicle brace according to instructions unless you need to disconnect it from the Brake Booster. Before you remove a clutch cylinder with master cylinder you need to take out both brake pipes. Take the master cylinder away from the vacuum Brake Booster and put it safely aside. Take off the air inlet grille panel and work towards the vacuum Brake Booster locking tab while preventing coolant from draining or disconnecting surge tank outlet hose. Escape the surge tank cooling area by unbolting the tank and reconnecting the tank inlet hose to avoid coolant leakage. Connect one end of the j 22805-b device to the vacuum Brake Booster check valve sockets by installing master cylinder mounting nuts. Use a flat-blade tool on the locking tab underneath the cowl front to allow the j 22805-b ratchet to turn the vacuum Brake Booster counterclockwise for removal. Lift the vacuum Brake Booster from its cowl mounting flange then support it while pushing the foam filter to reach the retaining clip. Dirct the longer end of the clip upwards to separate it from the vacuum Brake Booster and pull out the Pushrod. During installation allow all internal parts to stay unusable and keep the housing from coming unstaked. We need to replace any locking flanges that show bend or damage on both the booster and mounting plate. Thread the vacuum Brake Booster onto the vacuum Brake Booster Pushrod but keep the long arm of the retainer clip inside the machined bed. After positioning the booster on the Pushrod slide it forward until the locking clip rests securely. Use the j 22805-b ratchet to rotate the booster to engage the locking flanges facially and turn it clockwise afterwards. The locking function of the tab engages its mating fixture when the installation goes right. Uninstall the j 22805-b tool and complete the vacuum connection. Put back the surge tank inlet hose and tank with the air intake cover panel and master cylinder on the Brake Booster. Put in the Clutch Master Cylinder and cross vehicle brace when needed. To complete the setup insert the brake Pushrod into the brake pedal and fix it by pressing the vacuum Brake Booster push rod holding clip.
