How to replace the Fuse Box in the Body Wiring Harness Junction Block on GMC Sierra 1500?

The first step to replace the body wiring harness junction block requires uninstalling its retaining nut followed by removing the cover through tab pressing. The harness must be detached from the junction block's front side while pressing on its tabs will free it from the bracket. Begin by taking out all retaining bolts at the back of the device before using a screwdriver to split up the wire harness block from the junction block. The wire harness block needs to be installed onto the junction block followed by tightening its retaining bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in) as per the Fastener Notice instructions. Safely install the junction block to its bracket while pushing the top part to ensure proper seating followed by harness attachment at the junction block front side. Finish the installation by putting in the cover until it snaps into position and tighten the retaining nut by hand until it reaches its seat.

How to replace the Fuse Box in the Body Wiring Harness Junction Block on GMC Yukon?

The replacement process starts by unfastening the cover retaining nut before slotting the tabs to extract the cover. Press to release the tabs which allows removal of the junction block from its bracket after detaching the harness from the front side of the junction block. The first step after removing the junction block is accessing the rear of the block to remove retaining bolts then using a screwdriver to separate the wire harness block from the junction block. The wire harness block needs installation onto the junction block with retaining bolts tightened to 6 N.m (53 lb in) following Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Install the junction block to the bracket bracket until it clicks by pushing on its top part and activate the harness through the front of the junction block. Proceed with installing the cover which will snap into position before you hand-tighten the retaining nut until it rests properly.
