How to replace the front side door window regulator on GMC Acadia?

The first step in front side door Window Regulator replacement involves removing the door trim panel followed by detaching the water deflector. Proceed by taking out the energy absorber retainers and the energy absorber from the door before removing the covers showing the regulator bolt positions. You should remove the window guide attachment to regulator bolts before lifting the window to its maximum vertical position. First disconnect the power connector from the regulator motor followed by loosening and then removing the upper bolt retaining the regulator to the upper door. Finally remove the motor retaining nut and detach the regulator. Unscrew the lower door bolts which retain the regulator and turn the upper part forward before lifting the regulator out of the opening. Transfer the Window Regulator motor to the regulator before partially attaching the upper bolt to let you insert the regulator through the door opening standing at a semi-horizontal angle. Lower the regulator into place on the door sheet metal by rotating it vertically after its full insertion into the door cavity using the pre-installed upper bolt. Lower the window to sit at the window guide of the regulator and then tighten the regulator window carrier bolts gently. First adjust the window to be in run channels then apply the nut onto the door component to attach the motor while torqueing it at 9 nm (80 lb in). Then secure the upper and lower bolts securing the regulator to the door before tightening them to 10 nm (88 lb in). Install the device connectors to regulator motors while adding energy absorber retainers and absorbers and fastening water deflectors before applying the door trim panel.

How to Service and Repair a Front Door Window Regulator on GMC Canyon?

Begin the front door Window Regulator replacement operation by removing both trim panel and water deflector elements of the front door. First disconnect the bolts holding the front door window to the Window Regulator and take away the window. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Window Regulator motor when a31 is installed. First loosen the bolts at keyhole slot locations which connect the Window Regulator to inner panel before taking out the rest of the fasteners between the panel and regulator. First lift the Window Regulator through the slots of the keyhole before removing it through the access opening. New window regulators should be inserted into the front door through the access hole and aligned by inserting the regulator bolts into the keyhole slots in the inner panel. Fasten the regulator retaining piece to the door while securing its fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque. Reconnect the electrical connector to the Window Regulator motor when vehicle is equipped with a31. Replace the front door window before fastening it securely using the bolts which should be tightened at 9 n.m (80 lb in). At the end of this procedure install both the front door water deflector and front door trim panel.

The first step in front side door Window Regulator replacement involves removing the door trim panel followed by detaching the water deflector. Proceed by taking out the energy absorber retainers and the energy absorber from the door before removing the covers showing the regulator bolt positions. You should remove the window guide attachment to regulator bolts before lifting the window to its maximum vertical position. First disconnect the power connector from the regulator motor followed by loosening and then removing the upper bolt retaining the regulator to the upper door. Finally remove the motor retaining nut and detach the regulator. Unscrew the lower door bolts which retain the regulator and turn the upper part forward before lifting the regulator out of the opening. Transfer the Window Regulator motor to the regulator before partially attaching the upper bolt to let you insert the regulator through the door opening standing at a semi-horizontal angle. Lower the regulator into place on the door sheet metal by rotating it vertically after its full insertion into the door cavity using the pre-installed upper bolt. Lower the window to sit at the window guide of the regulator and then tighten the regulator window carrier bolts gently. First adjust the window to be in run channels then apply the nut onto the door component to attach the motor while torqueing it at 9 nm (80 lb in). Then secure the upper and lower bolts securing the regulator to the door before tightening them to 10 nm (88 lb in). Install the device connectors to regulator motors while adding energy absorber retainers and absorbers and fastening water deflectors before applying the door trim panel.

Fasten the regulator retaining piece to the door while securing its fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque. Reconnect the electrical connector to the Window Regulator motor when vehicle is equipped with a31. Replace the front door window before fastening it securely using the bolts which should be tightened at 9 n.m (80 lb in). At the end of this procedure install both the front door water deflector and front door trim panel.
