How to replace the radiator on GMC Canyon?

Drain all coolant while recovering refrigerant as the first step to replace the Radiator. Position the Radiator outlet hose clamp to a new location by using hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Start by disconnecting the outlet Radiator Hose from the Radiator and after that proceed to remove the transmission cooler lines. Start by lowering the vehicle and removing the cooling fan followed by detachment of the Radiator vent inlet hose and the Radiator itself. Then proceed to remove the bolts that secure the condenser to the Radiator before disuniting the condenser part. Installation requires users to mount the condenser onto the Radiator and tighten its bolts to 28 nm (21 ft. Lbs.). Install the Radiator together with the cooling fan and elevate the vehicle. Position the outlet Radiator Hose to its mount on the Radiator before securing it with hose clamp pliers (J 38185). After lowering the vehicle you must install the vent inlet hose while connecting the transmission cooler lines. Then fill the cooling system.

How to efficiently handle radiator replacement for the 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines on GMC Sierra 1500?

Begin Radiator replacement for 4.3l and 4.8l as well as 5.3l and 6.0l engines by eliminating the cooling fan and covering it with the shroud. The replacement process requires the specific Radiator outlet hose detachment for each engine variant. The first step involves disconnecting the engine oil cooler lines from the Radiator only if it is present before disconnecting the transmission oil cooler lines as well if installed. Complete the Radiator replacement procedure by removing both Radiator bolts and finally removing the Radiator from the vehicle. Secure the new Radiator by placing it properly then fasten bolts at 25 nm (18 lb ft) torque setting. Connect transmission oil cooler lines first with engine oil cooler lines second if equipment includes this feature. Place the new Radiator in its position and tighten bolts to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Then install the Radiator outlet hose based on engine style before reattaching the cooling fan and shroud.
