How to replace the Bank 1 knock sensor on GMC Acadia?

To replace the bank 1 knock sensor, un-install the exhaust manifold lower heat shield. Next, remove the engine wiring harness electrical connector from bank 1 knock sensor . Unbolt the knock sensor and take the knock sensor off. For installation, mount the new back knock sensor and lock it to the sensor bolt (23 N.m. or 17 lb ft). Finally, reestablish a link with the bank 1 knock sensor and reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector and place the exhaust manifold lower heat shield back.

How to replace Knock Sensor 1 on GMC Sierra 1500?

To change Knock Sensor 1 one first has to lift and support the vehicle. Detach the knock sensor from the engine wiring harness electrical connector and separate the knock sensor bolt (739) from the spark knock sensor (718). For installation, place the knock sensor (718) onto the engine block and install the knock sensor bolt (739) to 25 Nm (18 lb ft). Lastly, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the knock sensor.
