How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Cobalt?

One should disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the maf/imt, remove the maf/imt sensor screws, as well as the sensor itself. For installation to be carried out, the maf/imt sensor is to be put back in place, secured using screws with a torque of 0.6 n.m (5 lb in) in accordance to the fastener notice. Finally, reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the maf/imt sensor.

To replace the intake manifold temperature (IMT) sensor, unhook the negative cable of the battery. Then crank off the imt sensor at its connector and take it out using a rotating motion by pulling it straightly out. For installation, carefully insert the new imt sensor into the air cleaner outlet duct until it is fully seated, reconnect imt sensor harness connector and lastly reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
