How to replace the brake caliper bracket on Chevrolet Colorado?

Start to replace the Brake Caliper Bracket by disconnecting the front brake caliper and taking out all brake pads from the mounting bracket. Loosen and remove the bolts that hold up the brake caliper mounting bracket. After that remove the bracket itself. Put the mounting bracket in place on the Steering Knuckle before fitting its mounting bolts and tuning them to 175 n.m (129 lb ft). Fit the brake pads in the mounting bracket before mounting the brake caliper.

How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on the 1500 Series on Chevrolet Tahoe?

Replacing the front Brake Caliper Bracket for 1500 series vehicles begins with vehicle support through elevation and subsequent removal of tire and wheel assemblies. Brake caliper support requires heavy mechanic wire or equivalent to protect the hydraulic flexible brake hose while preventing both hose damage and brake fluid leakages whenever separation occurs from its mount. The brake hose remains attached while you remove the caliper as explained. After marking the brake pads position for later installation, remove both pads and springs followed by Brake Caliper Bracket mounting bolts and finally the bracket. Begin installation by installing the Brake Caliper Bracket then remove all tacky adhesive residues from mounting bolts after soaking them with denatured alcohol or equivalent solution followed by gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) threadlocking. Secure Brake Caliper Bracket mounting bolts at 200 nm (148 lb ft) torque before inserting Brake Pad springs next to their previous locations. Then reinstall the brake pads where they belonged. Finish the procedure by mounting the brake caliper onto the bracket followed by tire and wheel reattachment then check the master cylinder reservoir for proper fluid level (if needed add clean brake fluid).
