To replace the Throttle Body assembly; on handling the electronic throttle control components, it is advisable that they would be handled with utmost care to avoid ruining the other components that could be found within the Throttle Body which could easily be ruined when they immerse the electronic throttle control parts or even the use of tools to keep the throttle plate open thus ruining the internal wedge thus ruining the system by causing damage in the bridge. First unplug the air cleaner outlet duct and then diminish the engine electrical wiring connector from the electronic throttle control. Next, loosen the Throttle Body nuts (507) and bolts (538) and then remove the Throttle Body (508) and throw away the Throttle Body Gasket (509). For installation, have a fresh Throttle Body Gasket put on the Throttle Body, and the tab facing the notch. Mount the Throttle Body (508) bolts (538) and nuts (507) fastener with 10 nm (89 lb in) torque. Ensure that the engine wiring harness electrical connector seal for electronic throttle control is in good shape and connect the electrical connector. Install the air cleaner outlet duct back then use a scan tool to test the throttle-opening and throttle-closing range. Operate the accelerator pedal making it move freely from closed throttle wot. Make sure that the vehicle is not in reduced engine power mode, ignition is turned on, and the engine is not running prior to starting the engine. Check for coolant leaks and run the throttle learn process.
