    Q: How to replace the throttle body assembly on Cadillac Seville?
    A:
    Before installing the Throttle Body assembly start by relieving pressure from the fuel system. First remove the air cleaner intake duct and pcv valve fresh air tube before you separate the cruise control cable from the accelerator controls cable bracket. Start by disconnecting the Throttle Body lever from its association with cruise control cable and accelerator control cable. Then remove electrical connectors from iac valve at its position on ac valve and tp sensor electrical connector from its location on tp sensor . The accelerator controls cable bracket retains fuel feed and return lines while you detach transaxle shift cable clip and remove Throttle Body from water crossover. Take out the accelerator controls cable bracket from the Throttle Body . During installation use a carburetor cleaner rather than methyl ethyl ketone based cleaning solution. The recommended solution for removing deposits from carburetors is a carburetor cleaner. Maintain precise alignment between the air cleaner assembly outlet and maf sensor inlet duct to prevent airflow problems. The installation consists of attaching the new Throttle Body Gasket to the Throttle Body then mounting the accelerator cable bracket so tighten all bolts to 12 nm (106 lb in). Begin by tightening the lower bolts on the Throttle Body spacer to 12 nm (106 lb in) but first make these bolts finger-tight. Connect both the iac valve electrical connector to its mating port and the tp sensor electrical connector to its matching port. Connect the Throttle Body lever to accelerator control cable before installing accelerator cable against the accelerator controls cable bracket along with cruise control cable. Replace the transaxle shift cable connector and secure fuel feed and return tubing to their retainer position at the accelerator controls cable bracket. Tighten the clamp securing the air cleaner intake duct to the air cleaner intake air duct until it reaches 3 nm (27 lb in). Afterward install the pcv valve fresh air tube and fuel injector sight shield. Connect the negative Battery Cable and complete the tp sensor learn sequence by activating the ignition switch at run/on status for 1 minute followed by tapping lock/off for 15 seconds. To perform the iac valve learn procedure you must start and idle the engine for 15 seconds followed by a 15-second session with the ignition switch set to lock/off and finally restart the engine to ensure proper idle performance.
