Turn the ignition off before beginning the service or repair of the air cleaner fresh air duct/hose. The service and repair of the air cleaner fresh air duct begins with disconnecting the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the resonator and loosening and removing the air cleaner duct. The installation process begins with placing the air cleaner intake duct then reconnecting the pcv hose to the intake duct resonator. Use a torque wrench to secure the air cleaner duct clamps where the first needs 4 n.m (35 lb in) force at the maf sensor while the second needs 7 n.m (35 lb in) torque at the Throttle Body.

How to replace the air hose resonator outlet duct on Cadillac Escalade?

First remove the intake manifold sight shield followed by detaching the pcv line from the air cleaner outlet duct as the first step to replace the duct. Remove the radiator inlet hose clamp retainer followed by the radiator vent inlet hose retainer from the outlet duct. At both the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and the Throttle Body you need to release the air cleaner outlet duct clamps. Lift the air cleaner outlet duct at its resonator tab to loosen the stud pull from the intake manifold before you detach the duct from the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor. During installation position the air cleaner outlet duct by attaching it to Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor hardware ensuring the resonator tab faces the intake manifold stud. Press the duct resonator down for stud attachment before clamping both the Throttle Body to 4 n.m (35 lb in) and maf/iat sensor to 4 n.m (35 lb in). After reinstalling the radiator vent inlet hose retainer and the radiator inlet hose clamp retainer, install the pcv line to the air cleaner outlet duct then finally add the intake manifold sight shield.
