How to Properly Install an Oil Pan Baffle on Cadillac Catera?

Firstly, disconnect the battery negative cable and lift and support the vehicle. Drain the oil out of the engine and then pull off the bottom Oil Pan and also remove the top Oil Pan. Next, you take out the oil baffle bolts and remove the oil baffle. For installation, start by installing new oil baffle, making sure you follow the fastener notice in service precautions. Rethread the oil baffle with bolts and tighten if to 8 nm (71 inch lbs) and put back the upper and lower Oil Pan. Lower the car, top up with engine oil, and reconnect the battery negative wire.
