How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Equinox?

The air cleaner inlet duct removal should be the first step before swapping the Camshaft Position Sensor. Plug off the engine wiring harness so you can disconnect it from the CMP sensor position. Next remove the sensor bolt and the CMP sensor. Before reusing the CMP sensor inspect its O-rings for damage which should be replaced when evidence of cracks or leakage occurs. Pre-installation of the CMP sensor requires clean engine oil for lubricating the O-rings on it. Secure the CMP sensor bolt with 10 Nm (89 lb in) torque values. Plug the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the CMP sensor before reinstalling the air cleaner inlet duct.
