Begin by taking off the cover from the electrical center through tab depression then release the battery positive cable from both the battery and the electrical center terminal. First detach the battery positive cable nut from the electrical center then set the protective boot away from the generator output BAT terminal before unthreading the generator output BAT terminal nut to disconnect the battery positive lead from the generator. Lower the vehicle next and then disconnect the starter terminal nut before ending your work on the battery positive cable at the starter. Begin by placing the battery positive cable against the engine then lift the vehicle before applying support to it. Connect the battery positive cable to the starter after you place the starter terminal nut and tighten it to 13 N.m (115 lb in). The positive battery lead requires installation onto the generator followed by securing the nut on BAT terminal while tightening it to 13 N.m (115 lb in). The protective boot must be placed at the generator BAT terminal before lowering the vehicle for cable nut installation at the underhood fuse block with 15 N.m (11 lb ft) torque. After the battery positive cable connection to the battery with a 17 N.m (13 lb ft) torque setting, the electrical center cover needs installation before reattaching the battery negative cable.
