  A: For the ly7 engine (VIN 7 W/O Direct Fuel Injection), we have to swap the generator bracket first by turning the ignition off and taking out the generator. Next, remove the coolant inlet pipe lower bolt from the generator bracket and remove the belt tensioner. Then, you need to remove the generator bracket bolts and the generator bracket. Details on installation are beginning with the installation of the generator bracket and attaching it but make sure to follow the fastener notice. Mount the generator bracket bolts, tightening them in the order: tighten bolts (1, 2) using a wrench to a torque of 50 n.m (37 lb ft) and bolt to a torque of 23 n.m (17 lb ft). Then, fit the belt tensioner and fit the generator bracket coolant inlet pipe lower bolt and finally fit back the generator.
