How to replace the negative battery cable on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

Begin by disconnecting the battery negative cable before starting installation. Start by removing the bolt holding down the battery negative cable to the side rail. Afterward disconnect the body harness connector from the battery negative cable. Lower the vehicle after removing the stud securing the battery negative cable to the engine block to extract the cable from the engine. During installation position the battery negative cable on the engine and tighten the engine stud to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Use the provided bolt to fasten the battery negative cable onto the side rail while tightening it to 36 n.m (27 lb ft). Load the body harness connector to the battery negative cable before installing the battery negative cable to completion. Install replacement cables by using identical types and diameters to the original ones and following the same cable pathway.
