How to replace the rear tailgate lift support on GMC Jimmy?

To remove the endgate struts, first, open and support the endgate. Use a flat-door hook to lift away retainer clips at the endgate struts, and then take off the upper end from Ball Joint and lower part from its side. Then, remove the endgate struts from the endgate. For installation, align the new endgate struts to the endgate, install the upper end to the Ball Joint and press it until it's fully seated and also push the lower end in. Lastly, pull off the support of the endgate, and clip it.
