How to Replace a Power Steering Hose for the Brake Booster Inlet on GMC Yukon?

As a first step for replacing the power Brake Booster inlet hose install a drain pan beneath the vehicle move the Brake Booster inlet hose first from Brake Booster and then from Power Steering Pump then from the vehicle. The new Brake Booster inlet hose installation demands the same path as the previous installation. The Brake Booster inlet hose installation must begin with hose insertion into the Brake Booster followed by partial hand tightening. The Brake Booster inlet hose requires connection to the Power Steering Pump with fitting torque set to 28 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). To finish the process remove the drain pan beneath the vehicle while executing a power steering system bleed operation.

How to replace the power steering hose assembly (Non Rack and Pinion) on GMC Sierra 1500?

The process of replacing Power Steering Hose assembly (Non Rack and Pinion) requires disconnecting the energy storage box while placing a drain pan under the vehicle. Release the power steering inlet hose from the Brake Booster after which you must take off the power Brake Booster outlet hose by unfastening its retaining clamp. Begin by removing the Brake Booster power brake inlet hose before separating the power steering gear inlet hose . To remove the power Brake Booster outlet hose from the Power Steering Pump first detach its retaining clamp then finish by taking off the power Brake Booster inlet hose from the Power Steering Pump. The Power Steering Hose assembly should be taken out from the vehicle at this point. Installation begins with attaching the gear inlet hose to the gear after making sure its routing is correct and it faces the proper direction. Establish a connection between the booster inlet hose and Power Steering Pump based on the display image. Connect and tighten the booster outlet hose at the Power Steering Pump nipple through its retaining clamp. Beginning with the installation, fit the booster inlet hose to the booster and then join the gear inlet hose to the booster while torquing both power steering inlet hose fittings to 32 nm (24 ft lbs). The installation process ends with booster outlet hose connection to booster followed by retaining clamp installation. The drain pan removal and power steering system bleeding proceeds after which the energy storage box reconnection occurs.
