How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet S10?

You should remove the Throttle Body before extracting mounting screws from the throttle position (TP) sensor while being careful to keep the tp sensor dry from any liquid cleaner or solvent. Extract the tp sensor from the Throttle Body assembly. Place the tp sensor above the throttle shaft while matching the tp mounting holes to the Throttle Body assembly holes. The attaching screw threads require cleaning before applying thread locking material gm p/n 1052624 or equivalent because the screws have thread locking adhesive already applied. We must install the tp sensor mounting screws after tightening them to 2 n.m with an 18 lb in torque setting. Reconnect the Throttle Body afterwards and join the tp sensor harness connector.
