Start the TP Sensor replacement by removing the air cleaner outlet resonator before disconnecting the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector and unscrewing the TP sensor to extract it. A proper installation requires the TP sensor to connect to the throttle shaft before tightening its screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in) according to Service Precautions Fastener Notice. Reattach the TP sensor electrical connector after finishing the installation of the air cleaner outlet resonator.
