How to replace the rear brake backing plate on Chevrolet HHR?

To replace the rear Brake Backing Plate, initial, lift and retain the car and unmount the tire and wheel assembly. Next, remove the Brake Drum and take out the brake shoes. Remove the universal spring from the Brake Backing Plate, while removing the Wheel Cylinder. Release the rear park brake cable end fitting from the drum Brake Backing Plate and remove think bearing/hub assembly before finally removing the Brake Backing Plate. For installation, start by attaching the nuovo Brake Backing Plate, then attaching the wheel bearing/hub assembly and attaching the end fitting of the rear park brake cable to the new backing plate. Install the Wheel Cylinder and the universal spring to the backing plate and then the brake shoes. Change the drum brakes and fit the Brake Drum. Bleed your hydraulic brake system using both manual and pressure on it, then install your tire and the wheel assembly followed by lowering you the vehicle.
