In order to replace the front brake hose, lift and support the vehicle after removing the tire and wheel assembly. Both the braked hose ends and the brake pipe fitting must be cleaned of dirt and foreign material. It is recommended to use a back up wrench on the hose fitting and to disconnect the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose, plugging or capping both ends, to prevent fluid loss and contamination. Depress the brake caliper retaining pin spring to compress the brake caliper piston to its maximum extension, then remove the brake hose bracket retaining bolt and the brake hose-to-caliper bolt from the brake caliper, then slide brake hose from brake caliper out. Throw away the 2 copper brake hose gaskets, which might stick to the brake caliper or on the brake hose end and plug/open hole on the brake caliper and the brake hose. For installation, unscrew the caps or plugs from the openings, and when you do, be sure to install new copper brake hose gaskets . Mount the gaskets and the brake hose bolt to the brake hose and install the brake hose-to-brake caliper bolt to the brake caliper using 44 n.m (33 lb ft). Then, secure the front brake hose bracket holding bolt with 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Take off the caps or plugs from the brake pipe fitting end and brake hose end, join the brake pipe fitting to the front brake hose by the use of a back up wrench on brake hose fitting, tighten to 21 n.m (15 lb ft). Reinstall the tire and wheel assembly taking care that the hose does not rub against any side of the suspension during extreme right and left turning process; in case it does, take the hose out and fix the condition. Finally, bleed the hydraulic brake system and reduce the vehicle.
