You should first take out the valve
Rocker Arm before you start working on the Valve Stem Oil Seal repair and replacing the Valve Stem Oil Seal and valve spring. After removing the
Spark Plug wire you should turn each boot 1/2 turn until you can simply take off the boot. Work on the Cylinder Head at normal temperature by lightly turning spark plugs one or two times and cleaning their surroundings before extraction. Put (J 22794) into the Spark Plug opening then connect an air hose and push air through it to lock the valves. Install tool j38606 to compress the valve spring before you take out both valve stem keys and slowly release the spring tension. Take out (J 38606) plus the valve spring cap alongside the valve spring then extract the Valve Stem Oil Seal and shim. Wipe the Cylinder Head area where the valve spring and shim sit. Add engine oil to the valve guide and oil seal before you set the oil seal gently onto the surface. Place the valve spring and cap then compress the spring with tool (J 38606) before adding valve keys and using lubricant to keep them stable. Let go of tool j 38606 after relaxing the spring load and knock down the valve stem end with a plastic-headed hammer if needed to position the keys right. Incorporate (J 22794) in the Spark Plug hole. Start the Spark Plug manually and tighten it to 15 nm force. After replacing the
Ignition Coil wires install them properly then push each boot to the side to verify correct placement. Reposition the valve Rocker Arm in its final place.
