The first procedure to replace the Ignition Coil requires unmounting the engine cover followed by disconnecting both Ignition Coil electrical connectors together with the
Distributor wire. First detach the accelerator cable bracket and its mounting studs on the
Intake Manifold and Ignition Coil before setting aside the bracket and coil. Drill two rivets attaching the Ignition Coil to bracket through punching then remove the Ignition Coil from its bracket. The replacement Ignition Coil kit includes two screws which you should use to connect the Ignition Coil bracket. Fasten the Ignition Coil and bracket back onto the Intake Manifold after securing their studs to 11 n.m (97 lb in) torque. Afterward tighten the accelerator control bracket components by 12 n.m (106 lb in). Connect the Ignition Coil wire while ensuring it maintains a safe distance from the dip stick and other components to avoid grounding or shorting events. After that, reconnect all electrical connectors and reinstall your engine cover.
