How to Properly Install Coil Spring Insulators on a Chevrolet Equinox?

Beginning the replacement of coil spring insulators requires spring removal along with removal of upper and lower rubber insulators. Spray silicon lubricant on the new insulators before inserting them to make installation easier. Make sure to orient the part number identification tape on the coil spring to face outward from the vehicle while placing it at the top of the spring. Both coil spring insulators need full seating on the spring before reinstalling the coil spring in its proper position.

How to replace the coil spring insulators on Chevrolet Malibu?

The first thing to do is to raise and support the vehicle so you can access the coil spring insulators. Next, remove the coil spring. At this stage, take the Coil Spring Insulator out of the lower Control Arm and vehicle body. After putting the coil spring insulators onto the lower Control Arm and vehicle body, reinsert the coil spring. Finally, lower the vehicle.

At this stage, take the Coil Spring Insulator out of the lower Control Arm and vehicle body. After putting the coil spring insulators onto the lower Control Arm and vehicle body, reinsert the coil spring. Finally, lower the vehicle.
