The Clutch Slave Cylinder requires service and repair following transmission removal. Begin by disassembling the clutch housing from the concentric slave cylinder through its two securing bolts before you remove the slave cylinder from the transmission input shaft. Replacement of the bearing is possible by taking the slave cylinder out of service. When installing the slave cylinder place it on the transmission input shaft with its bleed screw and coupling pointing toward the transmission ports. Begin installation by tightening two bolts securing the concentric slave cylinder to the clutch housing at 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Finally, return the transmission to its original position.

The replacement process for the clutch actuator cylinder begins with transmission removal from vehicles using 4wd and rwd systems. Remove the two clutch actuator cylinder bolts and separate the clutch actuator cylinder from its position on the input shaft bearing retainer. After positioning the clutch actuator cylinder on the input shaft bearing retainer follow fastener precautions to protect the vehicle from damage. Fasten the 2 clutch actuator cylinder bolts using a torque setting of 8 nm (71 lb in). Put back in the transmission during the installation of both rwd and 4wd systems.
