    A:
    Proceed with replacing the left Intake Manifold cover after removing the oil filler spout by releasing its tab and turning it in a clockwise direction. Cut the vacuum brake booster hose and wiring harness connection from the remote power steering fluid reservoir before removing the vacuum brake booster hose from its vacuum source. Uninstall the mounting bolts (1, 3) that secure the remote power steering fluid reservoir before moving it forward away from the cam cover. Begin by removing the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector together with the left knock sensor connector and vacuum hoses attached to the throttle body heater inlet hose/pipe bracket. The left cover must be taken off the cam cover. Installation should start with orienting the top edge flange of the cover upward toward the Intake Manifold and ensuring the vacuum pipe along with sensor leads are kept outside of the cover area. Place the left cover completely into position by aligning it with both the cam cover and the throttle body heater inlet hose/pipe. Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir mounting bolts (1, 3), tightening the bolts to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) for the intake plenum and 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) for the Cylinder Head. Before installing the oil filler spout it must be checked to ensure the cover insulation does not get trapped inside. The spout should be twisted clockwise while being snapped into position. As the final step install the vacuum brake booster hose while also reconnecting the wiring harness to the remote power steering fluid reservoir . Then resume connection of the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector alongside the left knock sensor connector and the vacuum hoses to the throttle body heater inlet hose/pipe bracket and finish by securing the vacuum brake booster hose to the vacuum source.

    Q: How to replace the right intake manifold cover on Cadillac CTS?
    A:
    Before changing the right Intake Manifold cover drain all fuel system pressure to disconnect the fast connectors that link the rail to the return hose and feed hose. Use plugs to avoid fluid waste or contamination during the operation. The operation begins with disconnecting the evap quick connect fitting and opening the retainer on the engine control module (ECM) bracket to remove chassis hose/pipes. After removing the two cable harness clips securing the engine wiring harness to the ecm bracket proceed. First remove the two bolts holding the afterboil coolant pump to the ecm bracket and move the pump to next to the bracket. Turn off the ignition to prevent ecm connector damage before unscrewing the ecm ground wire attachment and opening the ecm connectors with release lever activation to disconnected state. Remove the bolt that secures the coolant inlet pipe to the ecm bracket and afterward detach the bolts between the intake plenum and Cylinder Head to extract the ecm bracket containing the ecm. Place the bracket aside. Install the right cover by completely seating it onto the cam cover while aligning it with the engine wiring harness and right knock sensor bracket and Intake Manifold. Position the ecm and bracket back to the engine, install the ecm bracket bolts to the Cylinder Head and intake plenum, tightening them in the specified sequence to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) and 8 nm (71 inch lbs.), respectively. Secure the coolant inlet pipe to the ecm bracket with a bolt tightened to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.)guide harness connectors through proper alignment with ecm connectors then insert them into position as you activate the release lever. Install the screw for the ecm ground wire tightened to 4.5 nm (40 inch lbs.), then install the two bolts for the afterboil coolant pump tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.)close the retainer by connecting the chassis hose/pipes before attaching the evap quick connect fitting and placing the Fuel Rail feed hose/pipe and return hose/pipe back in place.
