Where is the Coolant Temperature Sensor located, and How to remove and install on Cadillac Escalade?

On 6.0L models, the ECT sensor is located on the left cylinder head, in front of cylinder No. 1, just below the valve cover, while on non-6.0L models, it is positioned to the right of the throttle body, next to the thermostat housing. Begin by draining the cooling system to a level below the ECT sensor. For non-6.0L models, remove the air intake duct. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ECT sensor, then unscrew and remove the sensor. If reinstalling the old sensor, apply thread sealant to the threads; a new sensor should already have sealant applied.
