The first step for replacing the brake fluid level indicator switch demands users to turn the Ignition Switch to off position. Begin the radiator surge tank removal by disconnecting neither hoses nor draining coolant from the system. Earth the dash panel insulator a little to see and disconnect the upper master cylinder heat shield nut if your vehicle has this component. Remove first the master cylinder heat shield nuts before unfastening the master cylinder heat shield bolt so you can remove the master cylinder heat shield. Disconnect and remove the brake fluid level indicator switch and its electrical connector by pressing down on the inboard side locking tabs of the master cylinder. Pull the new brake fluid level indicator switch locking tab units fully into the master cylinder reservoir before connecting the electrical connector. Place the master cylinder heat shield back and secure the master cylinder heat shield bolt with torque at 10 nm (89 lb in).
