The replacement process for the upper Intake Manifold begins with draining engine coolant from the cooling system. Start by removing the
Throttle Body air inlet duct followed by disconnecting the bracket that houses the accelerator control and cruise control cables. First disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the
Throttle Position Sensor and idle air control valve then remove wires leading to the left side spark plugs and their attachment clip. Start by removing the Throttle Body heater hoses and disconnecting the vacuum hoses from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve before separating the solenoid valve itself. Disassemble the ignition coil bracket and cut off the wiring harness from the
MAP Sensor on the manifold air pressure unit and remove both MAP Sensor vacuum tubing and upper Intake Manifold vacuum connection. Begin the procedure by disconnecting the emission control vacuum harness then remove the vacuum brake booster hose from the upper Intake Manifold followed by disconnecting the hvac vacuum source hose and the
Fuel Pressure Regulator connections. Begin by removing the MAP Sensor with its bracket then move forward with removing the generator through bolt bracket followed by removing the upper Intake Manifold studs and bolts for complete removal of the upper Intake Manifold. You must remove the Throttle Body and upper Intake Manifold gasket from the Intake Manifold replacement before inspecting and cleaning the upper Intake Manifold. Reinstall the Throttle Body and upper Intake Manifold gasket before installing the upper Intake Manifold into its position. Install the MAP Sensor and its bracket before tightening the upper Intake Manifold studs and bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). First connect the vacuum brake booster hose after reinstalling the generator through bolt bracket then install vacuum hoses which link the upper Intake Manifold. The procedure begins by installing the emission control vacuum harness before connecting the vacuum hose to both MAP Sensor and upper Intake Manifold and wiring harness to the MAP Sensor. The installation process requires placing the ignition coil bracket alongside the coils and evap canister purge solenoid valve while attaching vacuum hoses to the solenoid valve. Proceed with reconnecting the Throttle Body heater hoses and reattaching the engine left side spark plug wire harness attachment clip together with the
Spark Plug Wires. Complete the Throttle Body wiring harness connection then install the accelerator control and cruise control cables with bracket to the Throttle Body and replace the Throttle Body air inlet duct before filling the engine coolant.
