Before you replace the blower motor resistor assembly, you need to take off the right side instrument panel insulator. Take off both the blower motor resistor and blower motor electrical connectors, realizing that the blower motor resistor opening is very hard to reach because of the slotted design. Relax both the forward blower motor resistor screws and afterwards, uninstall the blower motor resistor screw at the back, then remove the blower motor resistor. To put the blower motor resistor back in place, align it, drive in the rear blower motor resistor screw, and snug all blower motor resistor screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). Then, connect the blower motor electrical connector and the blower motor resistor electrical connector, and at last, insert the right side instrument panel insulator back into place.
