How to replace the blower motor resistor on Buick Century?

Before installing the new Blower Motor Resistor you need to disconnect the battery negative cable and take off the right side instrument panel insulator. Take away both electric wire connections from the Blower Motor Resistor and the Blower Motor itself. The Blower Motor Resistor opening has a restricted area so loosen its front bolts but leave them in place before you detach the rearward bolt and remove the Blower Motor Resistor. Install the new Blower Motor Resistor into place then bolt down its rear component with 1.5 n.m torque. Set the new Blower Motor Resistor into place before fastening both forward bolts at 1.5 n.m (13 lb in). Link the Blower Motor and electrical resistor connections back to their places and put the right side instrument panel insulator in position before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
