The Oil Filter adapter needs no replacement for this condition. Start by removing the Oil Filter cartridge before elevating and supporting the vehicle. Use an appropriate drain system below the oil pan Drain Plug and unscrew the pan to let all oil drain out. Use an appropriate tool to install the new oil pan Drain Plug together with the o-ring seal before tightening it to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Lower the vehicle afterward. Use clean engine oil to treat the Oil Filter cap threads before filter cartridge installation to make future removal easier while avoiding damage to the cartridge. Use a 6-point socket to install the Oil Filter cap while applying 25 nm (18 lb in) of torque. Unscrew the oil fill cap to add the recommended oil type in the proper amount to the engine. Reinstall the front compartment sight shield according to requirements.
