    A: First, lift and secure the vehicle for Steering Knuckle removal in the rear suspension. Begin by removing the tire and wheel and the brake rotor from the rear of the vehicle. Begin by removing the wheel driveshaft nut then throw it away and disconnect both antilock brake system (ABS) sensor harness connectors from the backing plate. The knuckle's Parking Brake Cable bracket should be removed before detaching the Parking Brake Cable from its position on the parking brake lever. The Ball Joint remover (J 43631) enables separation between ball stud and knuckle. Begin by removing the upper Ball Joint mounting nut. To support the lower Control Arm use a suitable jack while removing the lower shock mounting bolt, the Trailing Arm to knuckle mounting bolt and nut, the lower Control Arm to knuckle mounting bolt, and the adjustment link to knuckle mounting bolt. Use an axle remover (J 45859) or cj129 universal hub puller (Snap-on) or 7394 universal hub puller (OTC) to disconnect the wheel drive shaft from the wheel bearing/hub. Start by removing the knuckle from the vehicle before moving onto wheel bearing/hub bolt removal and completing the separation of knuckle and backing plate from the wheel bearing/hub. Secure the knuckle and backing plate onto the wheel bearing/hub interface while also installing wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts to a torque setting of 125 n.m (92 lb ft). Starting with all fasteners loose, workers should torque the adjustment link mount bolt to 160 n.m (118 lb ft) and move to tightening the Trailing Arm bolt up to 170 n.m (125 lb ft). Fasten the lower shock mounting bolt with 150 n.m (111 lb ft). Afterward, bolt the lower Control Arm to knuckle. Fasten the knuckle-connected upper Ball Joint before securing the upper Ball Joint mounting nut. After affixing the Parking Brake Cable bracket to the knuckle, remove the jack tool before joining both the abs sensor electrical connectors to their respective plates. Begin by tightening the new wheel drive shaft nut to 160 n.m (118 lb ft) and afterward add the brake rotor and tire and wheel assembly below the vehicle.
