How to replace the instrument panel dimmer switch on 2007 Cadillac XLR?

To change the dimmer switch in the instrument panel, take out the closeout/insulator panel and knee bolster trim panel. Loose the electrical connectors and take out the dimmer switch. To install, the switch should be mounted, then the retaining screws should be mounted and tightened, the electrical connector needs to be reconnected and the trim panels should be reattached.
