First handle the supercharger assembly removal before disconnecting the knock sensor electrical connector and removing the bolt securing the KS to extract the sensor. Before installation the KS and engine block surfaces need thorough cleaning until the entire KS contact surface rests directly on the engine block. Fix the KS to its location using a bolt while making sure to eliminate the use of all washers including spring washers and toothed washers during the process and torque the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Next install the wiring harness with care using the retaining clips before joining the KS electrical connector before putting back the supercharger assembly.
