To replace the Knock Sensor (KS) 1, one will have to pull off the intake valve, remove the knocked sensor (KS) electrical connector as well as remove the ks bolt before removing the ks. Next time clean the mating surfaces of the ks and the engine block carefully make sure that all the contact of the ks is directly on the engine block. Installing the ks and bolt, should not apply washers and even spring washers or toothed waskers, to tighten the bolt to 20n.m (15 lb ft). Make sure wiring harness is installed properly, it is attached using a number of retaining clips, then install the ks electrical connector and lastly re-install the Intake Manifold.
