How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on 2006 Cadillac STS?

The first step when replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor requires removal of the front engine compartment sight shield. Remove both Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor electrical wires and take out the screws holding the sensor in its place. Use caution to remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor from the air cleaner housing cover duct but do not allow it to fall or damage the screen at the air inlet. Maintain contact with sensing elements and refrain from letting solvents and lubricants meet them. Replace the worn-out Mass Air Flow Sensor gasket using a new one before installation. Properly handle the Mass Air Flow Sensor when installing it by applying a small amount of soap-based solution to assist the procedure. Install the Mass Air Flow Sensor within the air cleaner housing cover duct while following the fastener notice for screw tightening to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Reattach the electrical connector of the Mass Air Flow Sensor while putting back the front engine compartment sight shield.
