How to replace the lower control arm on 2006 Cadillac STS?

To replace the lower Control Arm, raise and support the vehicle, tire and wheel to be removed. After that, remove stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut and disconnect stabilizer shaft link from lower Control Arm. Next, remove the rear coil spring and then the lower Control Arm to knuckle bolt, followed by the lower Control Arm to frame bolt and nut. Replace the old lower Control Arm with a new one fastening the lower arm to the vehicle and making sure that all the fasteners are loosely attached before tightening. Make sure to secure to frame bolt and nut, lower Control Arm to knuckle bolt. Then you need to reinstall rear coil spring and tighten the lower Control Arm to frame bolt and nut to 135 nm (100 ft. Lbs.), and lower Control Arm to knuckle bolt to 160 nm (118 ft. Lbs.). Connect the stabilizer shaft link using the stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut and reinstall the same onto the lower Control Arm. Finally, return the tire and wheel to the car and bring down the car.
