Begin by disconnecting the accelerator control cable first from the accelerator control bracket then from the engine bracket afterward disconnect the accelerator control cable slug from the throttle pulley. Detach the cable bracket nuts from the accelerator control then remove the bracket including its cables from the Throttle Body while securing the bracket and cables aside. The technician disconnects the throttle position (TP) sensor and idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connectors subsequently removing the Throttle Body studs with the Throttle Body, discarding the Throttle Body seal. Put a fresh Throttle Body seal into place after you install the Throttle Body. Secure the Throttle Body studs before tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Attach electrical connectors to tp sensor and iac valve before placing the bracket and its attached cables. Place these cables onto the Throttle Body before tightening the bracket nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Place the accelerator control cable slug on the throttle pulley before you attach it to engine bracket and accelerator control bracket. The installation process ends with attaching the cruise control cable to engine bracket then throttle pulley before installing the air cleaner outlet resonator stud and tightening it at 10 n.m (89 lb in torques).
