How to replace the throttle body assembly on Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

To replace the Throttle Body assembly, first remove the outlet resonator of the air cleaner. Remove the Throttle Body by first disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Throttle Body and then remove the Throttle Body bolts, and pull off the Throttle Body with the old gasket. Then, install a new Throttle Body gasket to the upper Intake Manifold and slide the Throttle Body over the manifold. Mount the Throttle Body bolts using 10 nm (89 lb in). Reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector back to the Throttle Body and finally install the air cleaner outlet resonator.

Use only solvent-wetted brushes or scrapers because they harm internal components and stay away from methyl ethyl ketone cleaners that unnecessarily damage parts. Through parts cleaning with brushes maintain the Throttle Body in disassembly format when heavy deposits exist but keep the brush solvent-free from immersion. Reinstall the Throttle Body after cleaning the component before you install the air cleaner outlet duct.
