How to replace the right catalytic converter (LA3, LY9) on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

Vehicle suspension is necessary before commencing right Catalytic Converter (LA3, LY9) replacement work which requires heated Oxygen Sensor disconnect at the sensor pigtail while gage replacement may become necessary. The exhaust system requires positioning at a rearward angle so studs from the catalytic converters pass through the Exhaust Pipe flange while the system rests on the floor panel tunnel brace. Cut away both the left side Catalytic Converter seal and the right side Catalytic Converter Gasket so you do not reinstall them. You should start by taking out the Catalytic Converter seal before unscrewing both the 2 nuts between the hanger bracket and converter and the 3 nuts between the converter and Exhaust Manifold connector. For installation users should insert a new seal into the Catalytic Converter's seal groove before adjusting the Exhaust Manifold and Catalytic Converter hanger bracket together and firmly tightening the Exhaust Manifold 3 nuts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Screw the 2 nuts onto the Catalytic Converter hanger bracket before tightening each one to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The installation calls for a new seal installation on the left side Catalytic Converter flange together with a new gasket placement over right side Catalytic Converter studs. First position the Exhaust Pipe flanges over the Catalytic Converter studs at the pipe's rear and tighten the left Catalytic Converter's 2 nuts to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Screw on the 2 exhausting pipe nuts at the right Catalytic Converter while tightening them to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Install the heated Oxygen Sensor as part of the replacement process when you're finished with the sensor pigtail cleaning and lower the vehicle back down.
