The replacement of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor for VIN K needs ignition power to be completely off prior to work. Begin by removing the fuel injector sight shield and unplug the voltage connection from the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor fasteners on the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve cover must be bent just enough to release the sensor which can then be pulled from the cover. When installing check for a proper MAP sensor seal placement and make sure it remains intact. Hook up the MAP sensor to the PCV valve cover with proper placement while letting the locking tabs hold the sensor in place. Connect the electrical connector before reattaching the fuel injector sight shield.
